Our Story

The name, St Julien, was borne from the little Mauritian village where Priya's paternal grandmother lived. Her grandmother owned and laboured, alongside her workers, the sugarcane fields in this village. She was very well respected as an Elder of St Julien and ran her sugar cane fields as a strong determined woman, with an amazing work ethic. She was up at the crack of dawn everyday until her first stroke at the age of 85. Even then, against doctors orders, she disappeared into the sugarcane plantation because she didn’t want to be away from the earth of her fields.

Priya's grandmother sadly passed away in 2012, aged 94. It is incredibly important to Priya that her business and brand is a reflection of her grandmother's strength, work and moral ethics, determination and respect. Priya very much leads her business with these qualities as the back bone of St Julien Financial Planning, with her non negotiables - trust, honesty and integrity - at the core of each relationship she builds up with her clients.

Priya continues to help her clients achieve financial stability and resilience through her holistic approach to Financial Planning. She understands the significant value of planning for long-term financial security and the impact it can have at different stages of life.
